Project Highlights:
• 60,000 square feet cleared and grubbed
• Excavated and shaped a multi-tier basin with an agri-drain outfall
Berg was contracted to build a multi-tier wetland and infiltration pond for a legacy client. The property had been receiving storm water from an upstream housing development which was causing erosion issues. All the material was required to stay onsite so proper dirt management was a key. We were responsible for the entire project from E&S to final seeding and stabilization.
Berg installed stone filled reno mattress along the emergency spillway to allow the owner to continue using the driveway. This was a key concern as a children’s summer camp was being conducted on site at the time. We diverted storm water flow around the project to complete the work and took precautions during the construction not to compact the basin areas to ensure adequate infiltration. We also steam cleaned our equipment prior to mobilization to guarantee no invasive plants were brought onsite from other jobs.
The work began during the fall of 2015 with final stabilization completed during the spring of 2016.
