Scott is our division manager for special projects, and he’s been with Berg Construction since 2015. He earned his bachelor’s degree in environmental planning from Bloomsburg University. Scott started his career as a government employee, then owned a business for 20 years. Along the way, he developed a diverse skill set of estimation, project planning, and procurement.
Scott’s favorite aspect of his job is how his “passion for the construction trade gives me the advantage of focusing on opportunities and promoting higher standards of integrity, quality, and personal attention that our clients and co-workers deserve.” He is dedicated to creating an environment focused on strong relationships, open communication, and dedication to a process-driven strategy.
He enjoys how Berg Construction recognizes that people are truly the most important part of an organization. Scott says Berg has a “family-oriented, informal, and casual atmosphere” that is the main motivator and contributor to our success. He also appreciates how the company encourages growth through advancement opportunities, continuing education, and mentoring.
Scott is married with two teenage children — a son and a daughter. The family also has a dog named Mr. Cooper. He likes coaching and training youth soccer, playing the stock market, spending time at the beach, and cooking. He believes in the following quote by author Brian Tracy: “Decide what you want, and then act as if it were impossible to fail.”
