Berg Construction was engaged to construct a multi-tier wetland and infiltration pond to address stormwater management issues caused by an upstream housing development, ensuring erosion control and environmental sustainability.

Key Project Highlights:

  • Cleared and grubbed 60,000 square feet of land to prepare for construction.
  • Excavated and shaped a multi-tier basin with an agri-drain outfall to manage stormwater runoff effectively.
  • Implemented comprehensive erosion and sediment control measures.
  • Managed onsite materials to prevent offsite impacts.
  • Installed stone-filled reno mattresses along the emergency spillway to maintain access.
  • Diverted stormwater flow during construction.
  • Took precautions to avoid soil compaction in basin areas for optimal infiltration.
  • Steam cleaned equipment before mobilization to prevent introduction of invasive plants.

Berg Construction successfully executed the wetland and pond project, spanning from environmental and sediment control measures to final seeding and stabilization, ensuring long-term stormwater management and environmental protection for the client’s property.
