We are recruiting for a Road Mechanic for heavy duty trucks and equipment. With this position at Berg, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing issues on automotive, heavy trucks and a variety of construction equipment, and more.

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators responsible for operating various types of construction equipment and Laborers to perform physical labor at various job sites. Duties may include shoveling, operating small pieces of equipment in order to prepare, grade & excavate the job site.

We are seeking a Heavy Civil Foreman to join our team. As a Foreman at Berg, you will schedule, coordinate and supervise the work of all site operations. You will do this while ensuring the work is done safely, on time and on budget. You will be reviewing plans, specifications, and run large and small job sites.

For our Operators, we like to see a minimum of 3 years experience, Laborers a desire to learn and grow. Above all, a positive can-do attitude, pride in putting in a hard day’s work and taking initiative whenever given the opportunity speaks volume.

Most of our work is within daily driving range.

Does Berg work weekends?

Weekend work is available on an as needed basis. We first ask who is available and if the work can be completed by the available team we will require people as needed.

What is your review process?

We have a 60 day review after beginning your position and yearly reviews thereafter.

Does an employee stay with the same division?

Yes, Employees are typically partnered with the Division/Crew where they will be the most successful. The nice part about having different divisions is that if the employee would like to experience other types of work there are opportunities.

What is an average work week?

In the summer, a normal week would be 45-55 hrs but with working outside it can vary day to day. Being in the northeast during the winter it can slow down if the weather is uncooperative.

Where do I start my work day - office or job site?

Everyone is able to go directly to the job site.
