Q: What do you do here at Berg Construction?
A: I’m a project manager. I just started working here in March 2020, but I can already see that this is a great place to grow. My training has been far beyond anything I can ask for. My mentor has gone above and beyond to ensure I feel comfortable and understand everything while I am learning.
Q: What was your education and work history prior to joining Berg?
A: I earned my bachelor’s degree in general business management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After that, I spent six years in heavy construction before coming to Berg. I got my start in this industry as a laborer and asphalt quality technician.
Q: What do you enjoy about your job?
A: I love the diversity and the constant challenge of trying to construct and build a project.
Q: Why is Berg Construction a good company to work for?
A: This company has great communication on all levels. I think that is something that stood out to me instantly. Every person, no matter their position, is willing to listen and help. Also, during the COVID pandemic, Berg consistently communicated and helped in any way they could. They provided meals for employees and gave regular updates.
Q: How do you like to spend your free time? Any other personal details?
A: I’m originally from St. Marys, Pennsylvania, and I currently live in Lancaster. I got married in May 2018. We don’t have any kids, but we do have two dogs — a French Bulldog and a beagle/pit bull mix. I enjoy hiking, fishing, golfing, and snowboarding.
