Phil joined Berg Construction in April 2019 as a pipe layer. Before coming to Berg, he worked as a laborer and equipment operator on a pipe crew. His role includes ensuring the proper installation of all pipes, making sure everything is on grade, and verifying the correct placement of inlet boxes and manholes.
Phil’s job requires him to tackle some physically challenging tasks at times, like hand shoveling to find existing underground utilities. While the work isn’t always easy, he likes working for Berg because he gets along well with his coworkers and appreciates the family-style atmosphere.
The main priority in Phil’s life is his family. He enjoys going on hikes and road trips with his wife and children. Phil looks up to his father as his greatest teacher and the person who has always been there for him. He got his start in construction because he was inspired by his father’s stories about working in excavation, and Phil is proud to follow in his footsteps.
