Chad is an operator who mainly works on our landfill crew. He runs everything from large excavators to tracked skid loaders and rollers. Chad has loved heavy equipment for his entire life, and he started operating tractors and other small machines growing up on a horse farm.
His career in construction started as a carpentry and framing laborer. Chad ended up pursuing his Class A CDL and has now been a full-time equipment operator since 1999. His favorite part of his job is having the opportunity to run equipment and work with “a great group of guys.” Chad appreciates how Berg has “a smaller family feel. It’s not like the huge companies where you are just a number, and you don’t even know who the owners really are.”
Chad looks up to his dad because he taught Chad how to work with his hands and have a good work ethic. When he’s not operating equipment out at the landfill, you can usually find him in the mountains, hunting, shooting, and riding four-wheelers.
